Chesapeake Optics is located in historic Havre de Grace, Maryland.  We were established in 2003 with the aim of providing a source for high-quality optical instruments and accessories at competitive prices both through our "bricks and mortar" store and via the world wide web.

Chesapeake Optics was founded by Garry Lang,  who has left a career in the corporate world behind to pursue his passion for astronomy.

Havre de Grace (harbor of mercy) is scenically situated on the northern reaches of the Chesapeake Bay. Our store is just a few yards from the water and only a short distance from I95 exit 89 We are open Monday and Wednesday: 11AM - 6PM,  Tuesday and Friday: 11AM - 7PM and Saturday 11AM - 4PM. We are closed on Thursday and Sunday.
